==Administration: Enabling a new user==&lt;br /&gt;
New users are automatically assigned &amp;#039;pending&amp;#039; status.  It is necessary to approve the new user and assign them a role before they may change or add data to a project.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Click &amp;#039;Administration&amp;#039; button at the top of the page.&lt;br /&gt;
* Click &amp;#039;Users&amp;#039; on the right side of the page.&lt;br /&gt;
* Locate the pending user and click &amp;#039;Edit&amp;#039; for their entry.&lt;br /&gt;
* The user&amp;#039;s profile page will appear -- click the &amp;#039;Approved&amp;#039; checkbox near the bottom of the page.&lt;br /&gt;
* Select the role you want grant this user.  Options are:&lt;br /&gt;
** &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Pending&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;: the role for a newly registered person -- has no rights to view or edit projects.&lt;br /&gt;
** &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Guest&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;:  has no rights to view or edit projects.&lt;br /&gt;
** &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;User&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;:  allows the user to view and to edit projects where the Administrator [[Admin:Assign user to a project|has granted them project rights]].&lt;br /&gt;
** &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Admin&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;:  allows the user all the rights of User plus the ability to create new projects, to approve users, and to assign users to projects.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once in the Project Settings page, click the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Users&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; tab and the green &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Add user to project&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; button.  Select the user from the list provided and choose the level of access to assign them (&amp;#039;read-write&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;read-only&amp;#039; or &amp;#039;no access&amp;#039;).  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Users may be added to a Project even if they are not yet approved (their role is &amp;#039;pending&amp;#039;).  You will need to [[Admin:Enable User|enable the user&amp;#039;s ID]] before they can work in the project.&lt;br /&gt;
